The earthy quality of soft Elk hide is evocative, soft against your body. Sustainably wild hunted and tanned in the US. Wild hides often have scars and marks from the animals’ spirited life free range in the forest. M. Renee designs embrace the natural variations and marks, incorporating and even featuring the storied aspects of each hide.

Raw edge straps are my favorite! It is only possible to get such a piece from particular parts of particular hides, so it is a treat when I get to do it like this. Super strong (3 layers of Elk leather) and totally flexible, this strap is easy on the body and the eyes. Copper rivets and stitching hold strap to body of the bag. Durable as it is striking!

Purse flap is also raw edge, weighted with contrasting leather to hold the flap closed.
